Chicken Noodle Soup

There are not many foods that taste better when you are suffering from a winter time cold than traditional Chicken Noodle Soup. Easy to prepare and typically leaves plenty for leftovers. 

 

  • 1lb Chicken Breast
  • 1 meduim red or yellow onion
  • 2 large carrots
  • 2 - 32oz containers of chicken stock
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • pinch of paprika
  • pinch of coriander
  • pinch dry mustard
  • 2 cups wide egg noodles
Chop onion and carrots and then slightly brown them in olive oil over low-medium heat.

Chop chicken breat into bite size pieces and add to pot and cook until chicken is browned on the outside, but not yet fully cooked.

Add broth and bring to boil. Add noodles and cook until noodles are soft and chicken is fully cooked.
 

Great with grilled cheese sandwiches!
